Situation

Management for Nordic Tankers laid down the company values which should be lived out by all the seafarers in the company. The challenge is for the senior officers to 'translate' these value statements into daily behaviour on board.

Solution

The answer to this challenge is leadership training coupled to the company values and application of leadership principles on board. This results in the creation of an environment of self-awareness, coaching, support, delegation, motivation and environment. This concept has been reaping positive results in the shipping business through the years.

Result

A series of seminars and workshops were designed and executed by Green-Jakobsen as part of the officers seminars.
