Situation
The ISM Code stipulates that all personnel, both office and sea-based, have a responsibility to familiarize themselves with the SMS, which consists of a number of company polices, procedures, instructions and checklists.

Solution
The solution became a multimedia learning concept accessible online via the Torm LMS and off line via CD-ROMs.

Result
The result was a more dynamic, user friendly and creative training concept that motivated the staff ashore and the seafarers on board to participate in the familiarization process.
