Scandinavian Tanker Companies join forces

Green-Jakobsen invited eight Scandinavian tanker companies to join a Crew Management network meeting in April 2009. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of working together on projects of mutual interest to all parties.

With the current situation of the industry where marine HR budgets are declining and requirements are increasing, a suggested cooperation with colleagues from other companies can bring down costs and improve the quality of initiatives.

In June the parties agreed to start-up the process of elaborating 2 project definitions; 1) Screening, Familiarization and Competence Evaluation processes and tools 2) Risk Management processes and tools. This work will commence in September 2009.
