GJ participates in Seahealth Hygiene Project

Date Posted: 03 Mar 2010

Green-Jakobsen has been contracted by Seahealth Denmark to participate in the process of developing a project focusing on the general hygiene competencies among Filipino cooks, stewards and seafarers. The project has three phases, the first of which is the analysis phase where Green-Jakobsen will be visiting various cook training institutions in Manila, Philippines.  This phase will provide the foundation for the next phases of project design and competence development solutions.

The project will highlight relevant elements like culture, knowledge, education, attitude and social relations. The analysis will provide a good knowledge and information about the project's target group.  In addition, it will identify project learning objectives and methods which are targeted to effectively influence the positive behaviour and hygiene-related competencies of seafarers.
