GJ and Seagull relationship
Green-Jakobsen and Seagull formalising relationship
The cooperation between Seagull and Green Jakobsen started out a
few years back when the Green Jakobsen Maritime leadership modules
were transformed to the Seagull platform. The combination of Green
Jakobsen's know-how within learning solutions and Seagull
integrated platform has proven to be a strong basis for successful
training.
This relationship have now been further formalised, and on
16th April 2010 Seagull acquired 20% of the shares of
Green-Jakobsen with an option to take over more shares in 2012.
The common vision is to "enhance people performance
in the maritime industry through delivering effective learning
processes, systems and tools"
Initially, both companies will continue with the same focus and
services as before, and the areas of cooperation will include:
- Further development of the Maritime Leadership Concept
- Competency management development and system
implementation
- TOTS implementation
- Development of new innovative learning solutions
Together the intentions are to develop a strong know-how base,
and combining the strengths of Green-Jakobsen and Seagull a strong
basis for both developing integrated learning solutions and
delivering cost effective training is in place.
In a more long term perspective we see an opportunity for this
cooperation to ensure more value from the training efforts on board
and with more than 7,000 ships worldwide utilising the Seagull
platform complemented by Green-Jakobsen's blended learning concept
we believe that we can make a difference for the industry.
