Sofart Magazine in Green-Jakobsen-Manila

On 5th February the Danish magazine Soefart published an
article about Green-Jakobsen's subsidiary company in the
Philippines. The article briefly describes the
company's activities such as training, HR management
courses, development of e-learning portal and production of files
and contents for e-learning courses and distance learning projects.
Further, it gives a short presentation of Jay Babera, the
General Manager of Green-Jakobsen Philippines Inc. and his job as
an instructor being certified by the Danish Maritime Authorities to
conduct e.g. the statutory safety and health courses.
Another major issue
of the article is the challenge for the employees to work in a
different culture - the Danish way. This generally means that
openness, and greater individual responsibility is part of the
daily work. Although it takes a while to adjust to this way of
working, the result is engaged and creative employees who
contribute to the projects run in close cooperation between
the Manila and Copenhagen offices.
