Seminar on Nutrition and Skill sets at sea

What kind of healthy food do seafarers aboard Danish ships like to eat? How can you prepare your self for success in a Danish galley? What will a focus on diet and nutrition mean for well-being, safety and efficiency aboard?

Seahealth DENMARK has launched a project called NEPTUNE in order to be able to develop tools that help shipping companies, chief cooks, galley ratings and other seafarers on Danish ships to give the food at sea a healthier profile.

We would like to invite you to attend a free 2 hour seminar that gives you insights into what is happening in the area of nutrition and skill sets at sea. You can also have your say about the challenges galley ratings and others dealing with food and skills at sea face and what we can do to solve them.

Project NEPTUNE is being funded by the Danish Maritime Foundation and attending the seminar is free. All attendees will receive SEAHEALTH Denmark's latest tutorial film on Hygiene in the Galley along with 12 recipes for traditional Danish favorite dishes.

Seminar on 3 November 2011 at 13.00-15.00 hrs at the Green-Jakobsen offices
28-C Chatham House Bldg., 116 Rufino cor Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City
