Safety campaign project for Svitzer

To ensure continuous improvement of safety, they asked
Green-Jakobsen to prepared a safety campaign concept for them. The
overall goal for Svitzer was to dress their leaders enabling them
to manage and drive safety campaigns as part of future safety
action plans.
It is a strong belief of GJ that learning campaigns necessitate
organisational anchoring to achieve the best result - No campaign
poster makes the change alone. As a result of this GJ developed a
two-level communication approach for Svitzer based on central mass
communication to convey the overall message of the campaign
followed up by communication addressing local involvement and
initiatives. The philosophy behind the project is that one of the
most important parts of a campaign solution is to find, assign and
motivate the right people to be the vital messengers of the safety
project, facilitate the process of implementing the campaign ideas
and act as role models of the safety message. In Svitzer these
people were identified and equipped with knowledge and tools for
carrying out safety initiatives and campaigns. The subject of the
first safety campaign was 'Proactive Safety Reporting'.
