The value we provide
All shipping and offshore companies are compelled
to be very safety conscious. To assess the actual safety
performance, the Lost Time Accident Frequency (LTAF) is often the
instrument. The LTAF chart is a tool for identifying both
positive and negative trends in company safety performance and is a
means for taking preventive action in case of negative trends.
However, even one accident is an accident
too many. In the constant strive for achieving an accident
free work place it is therefore important to improve the overall
safety culture ensuring proactive safety management.
In order to be able to discuss and develop safety
culture it is important to understand the safety roles and
responsibilities of every staff member. Safety is for all
employees. The employees at the head office must constantly
remind themselves of their role as safety culture front
figure.
Any employee's perception of safety when
communicating and interacting with the vessels has a large
impact on the company safety culture.
What we do
Therefore, it is important to guide all staff and
management to become good safety managers. How to play an active
role and to facilitate the development and maintenance of a strong
